After a successful January with all of their main event fights remaining in tact, UFC is starting to see their 2015 quickly turn into a year that is reminiscent of 2014, where several big fights were scrapped due to injuries. This week alone, news surfaced regarding a number of fights being canceled or changed due to injury and on Tuesday, yet another one has joined the growing list.
Former Ultimate Fighter finalist Manny Gamburyan, who was scheduled to fight Aljamain Sterling at the UFC On FOX 15 event, has pulled out of the bout due to injury.
UFC officials announced on Tuesday that Takeya Mizugaki will replace “The Anvil,” as he will challenge the undefeated contender on the April 18th fight card.
Headlined by an intriguing match between top-ranked UFC Middleweight contenders Lyoto Machida and Luke Rockhold, UFC On FOX 15 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
