Greg Hardy vs. Tai Tuivasa Headed to UFC 264 On July 10

A bout between two heavyweight sluggers has been booked for this summer, as Tai Tuivasa meets Greg “The Prince of War” Hardy on July 10.

As reported Wednesday by MMA Junkie, Tai Tuivasa will look to hand Greg Hardy his second consecutive loss when these two big boys aim to make the other lose consciousness. This fight will be held on the UFC 264 card featuring Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor. Hardy hinted that this fight was done yesterday, and now sources have confirmed it.

It could be said that these heavyweights will be bringing different momentum levels with them into this battle. Tai Tuivasa is currently riding a two-fight winning streak while Greg Hardy is coming off a loss. Hardy has won two of his last three fights, however, so a win here would make it 3 of his last 4 and potentially open up a fight against a ranked opponent again for him.

Thus far, Greg Hardy is 0-2 against fighters who have been ranked at heavyweight, with losses to Alexander Volkov via unanimous decision and a TKO loss to Marcin Tybura in his most recent bout. Tuivasa has been previously ranked himself and will be another stiff challenge for the former defensive end. The Australian will be coming off back-to-back wins over Stefan Struve and Harry Hunsucker, both by way of KO/TKO.

With the addition of this bout, the updated UFC 264 lineup is as follows:

Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor

Gilbert Burns vs. Stephen Thompson

Jessica Eye vs. Jennifer Maia

Greg Hardy vs. Tai Tuivasa

Who do you think stands victorious when this fight is over? Greg Hardy or Tai Tuivasa?
