Holly Holm Signs Multi-Year Contract With The UFC

UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm signed a new contract with the promotion while meeting with UFC officials at the UFC 195 pay-per-view in Las Vegas, Nevada this past Saturday.

Holm, who is still fresh off of her second round destruction of previously undefeated UFC Women’s 135-pound champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 193, becomes the second contender to immediately sign a new multi-year deal with the promotion after dethroning a dominant champion in impressive fashion.

After choking out Cain Velasquez at UFC 188 in June, Fabricio Werdum inked a reported eight-fight, seven-figure contract with the UFC and immediately signed to defend the UFC Heavyweight Championship in a rematch against Velasquez.

While Holm’s next fight isn’t official, as there has been rumors of an immediate rematch with Rousey and talk from within her own camp about interest in a fight against Miesha Tate, “The Preacher’s Daughter” signed a multi-year extension with the UFC.

“We have officially signed a multi-year extension with the UFC,” Lenny Fresquez, Holm’s manager, told ESPN.com. “That’s all I can verify right now. We’ve signed an extension, and we’re very happy with the extension.”
