UFC announced their plans today for the debut of former women’s boxing champion-turned top MMA prospect Holly Holm.
Holm, who held a 33-2-3 professional record in the sport of boxing and who has a 7-0 pro MMA record with six knockouts, will make her official Octagon debut at UFC 181 in December.
Holm will step into the UFC cage for the first time against former Ultimate Fighter veteran Raquel Pennington.
“The Preacher’s Daughter” is considered one of a few legitimate threats to the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey and in December, will get her first chance to prove that fact.
UFC 181 takes place on December 6, 2014 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show features a double-main event with two world titles on the line, as Johny Hendricks will defend the UFC Welterweight Championship against Robbie Lawler, while current Ultimate Fighter 20 coaches Anthony Pettis and Gilbert Melendez will square off for Pettis’ UFC Lightweight Title.
