As noted, soon after what might have been the biggest event in UFC history, Dana White strongly alluded to a future title match, even though he generally hates making such statements as soon as a show concludes.
On the landmark evening of UFC 200, White alluded to the next UFC Middleweight title fight being Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson 2, a fight that a lot of die-hard MMA fans have been clamoring for. While he made it clear that the fight had not been signed, he did mention that it’s the direction that the 185-pound division will likely be headed.
On Sunday, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, the UFC 185 pound contender who felt he was the next rightful person in line to earn a shot at the Middleweigjht title the next time it’s defended inside the Octagon, took to social media to voice his displeasure regarding the apparent direction things are going.
“If the UFC wants to honor Dan Henderson then put him in the UFC Hall of Fame,” wrote Jacare in Portuguese on his official Twitter page. “Do not steal what I won!”
Souza defeated Vitor Belfort, earning the next shot at the title in his mind, although it looks like a rematch of the legendary Henderson-Bisping 1 fight, which took place at the original UFC landmark event, UFC 100, is next up.
Se o UFC quer homenagear o Dan Henderson então o coloca no Hall da fama do UFC, não roubem o que eu conquistei!!! https://t.co/89jyGWMcCb
