Jon Jones’ Lawyer Comments On Hit-And-Run Incident, Photo Of Jones’ Smashed Up Vehicle

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is headed to court this afternoon.

The longtime UFC 205-pound champ will be appearing before a judge following his hit-and-run incident, one that resulted in a pregnant woman receiving multiple injuries. Jones ran away from the scene and after the fact, marijuana was found in his rented vehicle, which was smashed up beyond recognition. Below is a photo of the car Jones was driving.

Jones will be appearing before judge Rosemary Dominquez at 1:30pm local time at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court in New Mexico.

KOB4 News was outside of the Bernalillo County Metro Detention Center as Jones was released on Monday evening and asked Jones’ lawyer, Vincent Ward, about his client possibly being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

“I am obviously not going to get into whatever conversations I’ve had with my client,” Ward said. “We will have our day in court and I fee very confident about that. But I think what’s telling is that the complaint speaks for itself.”

Ward concluded, “There aren’t any allegations with respect to any alcohol or drug use.”
