Jose Aldo: “Rethinking Retirement In MMA”

Although he claimed his recent meeting with UFC management didn’t change anything, reigning interim UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo is now claiming that he is starting to rethink his decision to walk away from the sport of MMA.

The Brazilian MMA star took to social media on Friday, where he posted a tweet announcing that he is starting to rethink his MMA retirement.

“Rethinking retirement in MMA,” wrote Aldo in Portuguese on his official Twitter page. “I talked to my family and seeing the requests of my fans good things shall come to you. Thanks Russia.”

Aldo last fought at UFC 200 back on July 9th, defeating former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar to become the interim UFC Featherweight Champion. When the UFC decided to book linear Featherweight Champion against reigning UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 instead of booking the 135-pound title unification rematch between the two as promised, Aldo announced that he was walking away from the sport.
