It was reported on “UFC Tonight” this week that a fight between former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos and top-ranked contender Stipe Miocic is in the works for December.
Veteran MMA journalist Ariel Helwani spoke to the Miocic camp and a source close to the situation said that the proposed JDS-Miocic bout is “more than likely” for UFC On FOX 13.
As reported earlier today, already announced for the next UFC event on “big FOX” is another intriguing Heavyweight match, as Alistair Overeem will meet Stefan Struve in one of the under card bouts.
If the Dos Santos vs. Miocic fight is finalized, it is believed that it will serve as a five-round main event for the show, which is scheduled to take place at the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona on December 13, 2014.
