A significant, long-awaited title match was announced by UFC President Dana White during this week’s edition of UFC Tonight on FOX Sports 1.
White announced that Dominick Cruz, the former UFC Bantamweight Champion who never lost his title in the cage, but was eventually stripped due to injuries, will be fighting current champion T.J. Dillashaw, who defeated interim champion Renan Barao twice to become the undisputed champion of the division.
Dillashaw vs. Cruz will take place for the UFC 135-pound title at UFC Fight Night 81 on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, airing live and free on FOX Sports 1.
