T.J. Dillashaw is currently sidelined for the next two years due to a USADA suspension for EPO. The former bantamweight champion was flagged in a pre-fight test before he fought Henry Cejudo for the flyweight title. There, he ultimately ended up losing.
Although Dillashaw is forced to sit out for two years manager Ali Abdelaziz doesn’t think that is a severe enough punishment. Speaking on MMAjunkie Radio recently, he wants all of Dillashaw’s UFC wins to be erased.
“If you’re an Olympic gold medalist, and you get caught with steroids, they take all your medals away. Every medal you ever won,” Abdelaziz said (h/t Bloody Elbow). “T.J. Dillashaw, all his wins in the UFC should be taken away.
“We told USADA about this… they ignored it.”
Abdelaziz, is Garbrandt’s manager who Dillashaw beat to win the belt and defend the belt. And, as of right now, the UFC has not commented on the matter.
As well as being suspended, Dillashaw also lost his Monster Energy sponsorship.
Before the loss to Cejudo, Dillashaw was riding a four-fight winning streak. He had wins over Cody Garbrandt, twice, John Lineker and Raphael Assuncao. In his career, he has beaten the likes of Renan Barao, twice and Joe Soto among others.
