The UFC “official” rankings have been updated and reflect the decision win for Michael Bisping over Anderson Silva from UFC Fight Night 84.
Bisping, competing in his home country of England, moved up to fourth at middleweight. “The Count” climbed three spots, vaulting ahead of Lyoto Machida, Silva and Tim Kennedy.
There was plenty of movement in the 185-pound division, as Uriah Hall and Derek Brunson both jumped past Thales Leites, who lost to Gegard Mousasi in the co-main. C.B. Dollaway moved back in, slotting in at 15th.
In the overall pound-for-pound Top-15, middleweight champion Luke Rockhold jumped into a tie for fifth with heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum. Rafael dos Anjos, the lightweight champion who is out with a broken foot, fell three spots to seventh.
Jussier Formiga is now ranked fourth at flyweight, climbing ahead of Ian McCall, while Dustin Ortiz and Ali Bagautinov flipped for 10th and 11th in the division.
At bantamweight, Jimmie Rivera moved ahead of John Lineker and Frankie Saenz for 11th, while unbeaten Cody Garbrandt debuted at 15th. Lightweight saw Dustin Poirier and Evan Dunham move up to 10th and 13th, with Michael Chiesa falling a spot to 14th.
Hector Lombard, who meets Neil Magny later this year, is now ranked 13th at welterweight, shifting himself ahead of Thiago Alves and Albert Tumenov. Jan Blachowicz jumped to 14th and Nikita Krylov debuted at 15th at light heavyweight, while Ruslan Magomedov is now tied with Alexey Oliynyk for 14th at heavyweight.
In the strawweight division, Karolina Kowalkiewicz and Joanne Calderwood flip-flopped for 10th and 11th, while Valentina Shevchenko and Sarah Kaufman did the same at bantamweight for the females.
The rankings will once again be updated next week after UFC 196: McGregor vs. Diaz takes place Saturday night from Las Vegas and the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
