The verdict on the Anderson Silva failed UFC 183 drug tests is in.
“The Spider,” who failed both his pre and post-fight tests for his fight with Nick Diaz at UFC 183 back in January, claimed he took a “sexual performance” medication that resulted in his failed tests.
After hearing the defense of Silva’s team at the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) hearing today, it was decided that Silva will be suspended one year from the date of the Diaz fight, which took place on January 31, 2015, and Silva will forefit his $200,000 win bonus and be docked 30-percent of his reported $600,000 fight purse.
Additionally, the result of the Silva-Diaz fight has been changed to a “No Contest.”
