UFC welterweight fighter Nick Diaz reported to jail this morning after pleading guilty last month to a DUI charge, according to TMZ.com.
Diaz was arrested back on Sept. 6, 2014, and in addition to his DUI charge, was also booked for obstructing a police officer, destroying evidence, and driving with a suspended license. He’ll be released tomorrow (Friday, 9/3) and will have to take a DUI educational course in order to avoid a harsher penalty.
Diaz has kept a relatively low profile since losing to Anderson Silva by unanimous decision back in January (aside from the announcement that testing positive for marijuana prior to the fight).
