After making the announcement that Brock Lesnar will be making his Octagon return to fight at the landmark UFC 200 event in July, it looks like fans won’t have to wait very long to find out who Lesnar’s opponent will be.
According to Front Row Brian, UFC will make the announcement regarding Lesnar’s opponent for UFC 200 on ESPN this coming Monday.
WWE issued a statement after the UFC aired their video on Lesnar tonight, announcing that Lesnar’s participation in the UFC this time will be a “one-off,” noting that he will remain an active WWE Superstar, returning to the ring for WWE at their annual SummerSlam pay-per-view event in August.
While nothing is official yet regarding Lesnar’s opponent, Mark Hunt’s name has been floating around the web, for whatever that is worth. Other names floating around include Josh Barnett and Shane Carwin.

Ariel Helwani, who was kicked out of the UFC 199 pay-per-view on Saturday night for breaking the Lesnar and Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz 2 stories at MMAFighting.com, also alluded to the fact that fans won’t have to wait long to find out who Lesnar’s UFC opponent will be for his 7/9 return in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Opponent is truly TBD. Not finalized yet, as I reported earlier. Expect an announcement in the coming days, though. Won't be a long wait.
