Well, it looks like fans can forget about seeing Rashad Evans’ Middleweight debut this weekend.
According to reports by ESPN.com and MMAFighting.com, the fight between “Suga” Rashad Evans and Tim Kennedy has been scratched from this Saturday’s lineup.
Originally scheduled to take place as part of the FOX Sports 1 (FS1) preliminary fights, the Evans-Kennedy bout has been pulled apparently due to issues with Evans medicals.
The UFC has yet to confirm the reports, nor announce whether or not there will be a new opponent for Kennedy, or a new fight altogether. One would assume with the show only four days away, and with such a stacked card, that no replacement opponent or fight will be booked.
UFC 205: Alvarez vs. McGregor takes place on Saturday, November 12th from the world-famous Madison Square Garden arena in New York City.
