Although he never lost his title in the Octagon, Dominick Cruz has had to sit on the sidelines and watch as T.J. Dillashaw establishes himself as the dominant force in the UFC’s Bantamweight division. So, when Dillashaw took a shot at Cruz on social media, the former champion was quick to respond.
On Wednesday, Dillashaw took to Twitter to randomly call out Cruz, telling him to “heal that chicken leg up so I can kick your ass,” and prompting “The Dominator” to respond with some trash talk of his own.
“Let’s go [Dominick Cruz]. Heal that chicken leg up so I can kick your ass already,” wrote Dillashaw. “Let’s sign a contract for UFC’s New Year’s card.”
Minutes later, Cruz fired back at the current UFC 135-pound champion.
“[T.J. Dillashaw], I’ll be back in plenty of time to school you,” wrote Cruz. “Silly Dilly, don’t you worry. May just send [John Dodson] back up to take care of my light work.”
