TUF 23 Finale Results – Jedrzejczyk Retains Title After Epic 5-Round Battle With Gadelha

So, how bout that fight?

On Friday evening, UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and bitter-rival, Claudia Gadelha, put on an absolutely epic performance in what will no doubt be remembered as one of the definite highlights of an incredibly jam-packed UFC International Fight Week, which culminates with the landmark UFC 200 pay-per-view this evening.

Jedrzejczyk and Gadelha, who fought previously in what was a very close, hard fought battle, took their rivalry to the next level as coaches of the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter, as the two actually got into a wild brawl while filming the show, one that has been described as a pretty vicious battle.

On Friday night, they gave a whole new meaning to the phrase “vicious battle.”

After five rounds of an absolute war, it was Joanna Jedrzejczyk who managed to again edge out Gadelha on the official scorecards, retaining her UFC Women’s Strawweight Title with scores of 48-46, 48-45 and 48-46.
