Two More Former UFC Fighters Join Antitrust Lawsuit Against Zuffa, LLC.

Two new former UFC fighters have joined the anti-trust lawsuit filed against ZUFFA, LLC. and the UFC.

Former UFC combatants Kyle Kingsbury and Darren Uyenoyama are the latest to pile on in the case against the parent company of the UFC, according to multiple media outlets.

The lawsuit from Kingsbury and Uyenoyama was filed against the UFC on March 20, 2015, and is now the fifth such complaint brought against the promotion.

With those two added to the mix, the total count is now up to eleven fighters, including Cung Le, Jon Fitch and Nate Quarry, Brandon Vera and Pablo Garza, Dennis Hallman and Javier Vasquez, Mac Danzig and Gabe Ruediger and the aforementioned Kingsbury and Uyenoyama.

Le, Fitch and Quarry were the first three fighters bonded together in the anti-trust lawsuit against the company, a suit that was initially filed on December 16, 2014.

The lawsuit essentially claims that UFC violated the Sherman Antitrust Act after illegally maintaining a monopoly by “systematically eliminating competition from rival promoters, artificially suppressing fighters’ earnings from bouts and merchandising and marketing activities through restrictive contracting and other exclusionary practices.”
