UFC 190: Rousey vs. Correia Draws Most PPV Buys Since December 2013

The pay-per-view numbers for UFC 190: Rousey vs. Correia are in, and it’s safe to say Ronda Rousey is quickly becoming not only the biggest current draw on the UFC roster, but among the biggest draws in UFC history.

UFC 190, headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Bethe Correia for Rousey’s UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship, took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on August 1, 2015, and according to early estimates, is the most purchased UFC pay-per-view event in well over a year.

The Rousey-Correia event is estimated at doing just over 900,000 buys on pay-per-view, making it the biggest pay-per-view event for the UFC since UFC 168 in December of 2013, a show that featured the second Anderson Silva vs. Chris Weidman title fight and the second Rousey vs. Miesha Tate bout.

Rousey’s next pay-per-view test will come on January 2, 2016, as she makes the next defense of her UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship against undefeated contender Holly Holm in the main event of UFC 195 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
