On Thursday the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced they are bringing back an event that discontinued in 2013. The company will host a “Fight for the Troops” event in sometime 2016. UFC’s Executive VP of Global Marketing Partnerships Mike Mossholder spoke on the return of the event in a press release.

“As a core sponsor since 2007, Harley has played a vital role in the growth of our sport, as our audiences align perfectly with riding enthusiasts and fight fans,” UFC Executive Vice President of Global Marketing Partnerships Mike Mossholder said. “Two pillar programs of our new partnership surround two passionate initiatives for both brands: A military program that provides benefits to both active and non-active military personnel, as well as first responders and Harley riders socializing at their local dealerships to watch UFC Pay-Per-View events.”

The series began in 2008 in Fayetteville, N.C, ”Fight for the Troops 2” took place in 2011 at Fort Hood in Texas, and ”Fight for the Troops 3” took place at Fort Campbell in Kentucky in 2013.
