UFC Makes Changes To Ronda Rousey’s Next Fight Again, Lawler vs. Condit Postponed

UFC announced on Friday that Ronda Rousey’s next fight has been moved yet again.

After initially being expected to fight Miesha Tate at UFC 194 in December, UFC announced that Rousey would instead fight undefeated contender Holly Holm at UFC 195 in January. While both of those fights would have taken place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, the latest Rousey shuffle now has the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion leaving the country again.

UFC 193, which takes place inside the 90,000 seat Etihad Stadium in November, was scheduled to feature Robbie Lawler vs. Carlos Condit for the UFC Welterweight Championship, however due to a non-serious injury to Lawler, the fight has been postponed and now Rousey vs. Holm will move into the headline spot.

UFC 195, which was scheduled to feature the Rousey-Holm fight, now needs a new main event. Scheduled as the co-main event for the show is Joanna Jedrzejczyk defending her UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship, likely against Valerie Letourneau as Claudia Gadelha won’t be ready by the January 2nd date.
