The post-fight bonuses for UFC Fight Night 43 were announced at the press conference (watch here) after the event on Friday in New Zealand.
$50,000 bonuses were awarded to Nate Marquardt, Charles Oliveira, Gian Villante and Sean O’Connell for their performances inside the octagon.
Villante and O’Connell earned “Fight of the Night” honors, while Marquardt and Oliveira took home “Performance of the Night” honors.
Marquardt earned his bonus for submitting James Te Huna via armbar in the main event of the show.
Oliveira picked up his additional $50,000 for tapping out Hatsu Hioki with a guillotine choke, marking the first time Hioki was ever stopped in a fight, let alone submitted.
Finally, Villante and O’Connell earned their extra cash for putting on an exciting battle that Villante ended up winning via split decision after three hard-fought rounds.
