UFC says Cristiane “Cyborg” Justin is “The Baddest Woman On The Planet.” I wonder what Ronda Rousey thinks of this?
In the advertising for the Invicta FC 13: Cyborg vs. Van Duin event on Thursday, July 9, 2015, UFC is helping promote the all-women’s MMA organization by featuring ads on their official UFC YouTube channel that hypes up Invicta FC Featherweight Champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino as “The Baddest Woman On The Planet.”
Ironically enough, Rousey, who is often compared to Mike Tyson, who was commonly referred to as “The Baddest Man On The Planet,” has offered to fight Cyborg several times, however it has been Cyborg’s inability to make the 135-pound weight requirement for Rousey’s UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship that has prevented the Women’s MMA mega-fight from happening.
Regardless, Cyborg (13-1-1 NC) will defend her 145-pound title against New Zealand’s Faith Van Duin (5-1) in just under two weeks on a card that also features Tonya Evinger (14-6) vs. Irene Aldana (5-1) for the Invicta Bantamweight Championship and Herica Tiburico (9-2) defending her Invicta Atomweight Championship against Ayaka Hamasaki (11-1).
Invicta FC 13: Cyborg vs. Van Duin is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, 2015 at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada, airing live on UFC Fight Pass.
