One of the additions to EA Sports UFC 2 that wasn’t in the original game is he addition of Ultimate Team, a popular mode from EA Sports various traditional team-based stick and ball sports games. The trailer for UFC Ultimate Team just dropped a few minutes ago and can be viewed at the top of this article. Here’s how the EA Sports UFC features page describes the new mode:

Create your team of up to five fighters using UFC 2’s deep customization options. Compete in online or offline competitions to progress your fighters and earn coins that open packs which deliver special items used to sculpt your team into the most explosive in the UFC.
The latest news post at the EA Sports UFC website has a lot more details about UFC Ultimate Team. EA Sports UFC 2 comes out on March 15th for both the Sony Playstation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One and is available for pre-order now. A week-long public (but closed) beta test, which includes access to UFC Ultimate Team (though created fighters and teams won’t carry over to the final release), starts tomorrow. Today (January 27th) at 4:30 p.m. ET, UFC Flyweight Champion and avid gamer Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson will be live streaming gameplay of the beta on the EA Sports UFC Twitch.tv channel.
