In what has to be the fastest weigh-in faceoff video turnaround possibly ever, UFC had the footage of the staredown for Saturday’s UFC 202 main event between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor within minutes of the conclusion of the official public weigh-ins in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday evening.
Featured above is the intense faceoff between the headliners for what is expected to be the most ordered pay-per-view in UFC history, as McGregor and Diaz squared off after each man stepped on the scales for the weigh-in ceremony ahead of their highly-anticipated 170-pound rematch.
As seen in the highlights released by the UFC on Friday, they made sure to have plenty of security present particularly for their staredown, and refused to let the two get as close to each other as most fighters do at UFC weigh-in events. The reason is an obvious one to anyone who has been following the build-up to this mega-fight, as the two couldn’t contain themselves any longer at the UFC 202 pre-fight press conference this past Wednesday in Las Vegas, Nevada.
