If you listen to Tito Ortiz, contracts have already been printed out, and all that’s left is the signatures of two of Women’s most domination MMA champions — Ronda Rousey and Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino — before a super fight at AT&T Stadium is officially on the books.
Ortiz, a UFC Hall Of Famer who is preparing to challenge Liam McGeary at Bellator: Dynamite!!, spoke about the Rousey-Cyborg negotiations during his appearance on this week’s edition of Inside MMA on AXS TV.
“I’ve heard from Cris [Cyborg] actually that the fight that’s supposed to be happening at the Cowboy’s arena… they offered the fight to Cris,” said Ortiz of Rousey’s next fight, which at this point, is still rumored to be the third fight in a trilogy between Rousey and Miesha Tate.
“I know her management said yes and I’ve told her, ‘Let’s do it,'” said Ortiz. “So I guess the ball’s all in Ronda [Rousey]’s corner and Ronda wants to do it. Dana said if Cris came down to 135 they’ll make the fight happen, so let’s see if Ronda accepts the fight.”
