Video: Tito Ortiz Says Rampage Ran From Him, Rousey Is Running From Cyborg

Tito Ortiz recently resurfaced online with a “selfie” interview where he claims two people are running: Rampage — from him, and Ronda Rousey from Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino.

Regarding the Rousey-Cyborg mega-fight still not coming to fruition, Ortiz claims it’s Rousey’s refusal to fight Cyborg at a weight she can make naturally.

“I really don’t think Cris can make it down to 135,” said Ortiz. “140 is probably about the closest she can get, but as I talk to Cris over and over again, she says that she don’t really care about the title, she just wants to cave Ronda’s face in. So, Ronda needs to stop running, but hey, that’s her choice. That’s how it is.”

Ortiz also spoke about Quinton Jackson, a fighter he trained with early in his career that he was scheduled to fight in Bellator until an injury — and ultimately Rampage leaving the promotion — ended that talk.

“Rampage is making some money, come on, he caved in,” said Ortiz in reference to Jackson leaving Bellator to return to the UFC. “He’s with the UFC, he’s making money. He needs to support his kids and his family, so he’s trying to do the right thing. All the luck to him.”

Ortiz, while continuing to talk about how great of a guy Rampage is, did throw one verbal jab in his direction, claiming he “ran away from a fight.”

“He ran away from a fight,” said Ortiz. “So, hey, what can you do? Can’t do nothing about it. I wish all the luck to Rampage, me and Rampage are boys. We started our careers together and I wish the best to him. Rampage is an awesome guy.”

Finally, “The People’s Champion” spoke about his next upcoming fight against Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Liam McGeary, a fight he claims he took because he didn’t want to take an “easy fight.”

“If I wanted an easy fight I would’ve fought Kimbo [Slice], or Ken Shamrock or Frank Shamrock,” said Ortiz. “I’m gonna beat Liam’s ass and I’m gonna get the title.”

Tito Ortiz challenges undefeated Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Liam McGeary for the title at the Bellator MMA “Dynamite!!!” event on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
