UFC held the official weigh-ins for Saturday’s record-breaking UFC 193: Rousey vs. Holm pay-per-view event at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia on Friday evening.
The main event has already lived up to expectations, as it clearly stole the show at the weigh-ins on Friday. When Rousey went to get in Holm’s face for an up close-and-personal stare down, Holm went back at Rousey aggressively, which led to Rousey coming back with even more force herself, as the two had to be physically separated and kept apart by Dana White and the other UFC officials on the scene.
After the extremely intense stare down, Holm cut a basic promo on stage in front of the packed house, which is pretty much all you get at a UFC weigh-in. When it was Rousey’s turn to talk, however, she was definitely in a “Rowdy” mood to say the least, as she went on an absolute rant about how she knew Holm was being “phony polite” all along and on Sunday (Australian time, Saturday in North America), she is going to make her pay for it.
