With UFC 202 officially in the books, the UFC will now look ahead to their next pay-per-view offering, UFC 203, which takes place in early September.
Following Saturday’s pay-per-view, which featured Conor McGregor avenging his lone UFC defeat by earning a Majority Decision over Nate Diaz in the main event, the company released the official UFC 203 trailer.
Featured above is the promo for the Cleveland-based event, which based on the advertising, will likely be built as a triple-header type of lineup. Headlining the event will be Cleveland’s own Stipe Miocic, as he makes the first defense of the UFC Heavyweight Title against Alistair Overeem.
The co-main event will feature former UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum fighting Travis “Hapa” Browne in a rematch after his originally scheduled opponent, Ben Rothwell, was forced to pull out of the fight due to an injury. Seemingly positioned third from the top will be the Octagon debut of former WWE Superstar CM Punk, who fights UFC prospect Mickey Gall.
UFC 203: Miocic vs. Overeem takes place on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
