Video: UFC Contender Stops Two Thieves Stealing Alcohol

UFC contender Makwan Amirkhani recently spoke out about the viral clip of him stopping two thieves from stealing alcohol from his favorite coffee shop.

The clip, which you can watch above, went viral last month, shows Amirkhani (11-2), who made his UFC debut earlier this year, knocking out Andy Ogle with a flying knee in just eight seconds at the UFC On FOX 14 event in January, stopping two criminals as they are in the process of stealing alcohol.

“I said to them, ‘I suggest that you stop,'” said Amirkhani to “The MMA Hour’s” Ariel Helwani earlier this week. “I said it in a nice way, so that’s why it became like famous. I didn’t yell or anything. That’s why people liked the video so much. It was in every newspaper and stuff. Because someone acted in a situation like that in a nice way.”

“I ran like really fast,” Amirkhani continued. “I was like, oh my God, I haven’t [run] this fast in forever. It was fun, actually. They just stopped, because I was running so fast. My friend, he was so lazy he took a car.”

Amirkhani concluded, “Cops in New York should watch that video and take example.”
