On Sunday, UFC premiered the full “Countdown to UFC 179” preview special on FOX Sports 1, hyping next Saturday’s pay-per-view, which features the highly anticipated rematch between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes for Aldo’s UFC Featherweight Championship.
Above is part one of the special, which looks at the Aldo-Mendes bout. The official description for the video reads: “Countdown takes you behind the scenes before UFC 179 as three Brazilians brace to fight. Reigning featherweight champion Jose Aldo welcomes Team Alpha Male rival Chad Mendes back to the country, his mind as intent on victory as Mendes’ is on redemption.”
Below are the second and third parts, which looks at the Phil Davis vs. Glover Teixeira and Diego Ferriera vs. Beneil Dariush bouts, respectively.
