The pro wrestling promotion EVOLVE recently announced that they have signed former UFC fighter and Ultimate Fighter veteran Matt Riddle.
Riddle is set to make his in-ring debut for the promotion on October 17, 2015 in Queens, New York at EVOLVE 49 and again on October 18, 2015 in Deer Park, New York at EVOLVE 50. Both events will air at WWNLive.com on live iPPV. Riddle has been preparing for his debut by training at The Monster Factory wrestling school since last November.
During a recent appearance on The Roman Show, Matt Riddle announced WWE helped him get the job with EVOLVE.
“When people see me wrestle, I am not too bad,” he said. “I know what I am doing and I’ve been wrestling pro wrestling my entire life. I’ve had about 40 matches in the ring in front of a crowd but I probably had a couple of thousand in the backyard, you know what I mean. I’ve been doing it for a while, just not at this level.”
