Former UFC contender “The New York Bad Ass” Phil Baroni claimed that WWE flew him to WrestleMania 31 this past weekend to sign him to a deal, but apparently that is not the case.
Baroni mentioned on Twitter that he was being flown in by the promotion to Santa Clara, California, the site of Sunday’s WrestleMania, to sign him to a WWE contract.
WWE officials claim there is absolutely no truth to the rumors.
Below are the claims Baroni made on social media this past weekend:
I just got flight and tickets to Wrestlemania. I'm getting flown it to sign my contract and see what the WWE and Wrestlemania are all about.

I'm about 2 "@WiscoSportsNut: I really hope @philbaroni signs with the WWE. Every MMA fan knows he cuts the best promo in the business.”
