The following is an updated look at PRIDE's second U.S. efforts, being referred to as “The Second Coming” scheduled for February 24th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The only match officially confirmed as of this writing is the main event for the “Middleweight” (205 lb.) title. It will be Vanderlei Silva defending that belt in a rematch of a fight six years ago in PRIDE against now current “Welterweight” (185 lb.) champion Dan Henderson.
The official Japanese version of the PRIDE website recently announced fighters confirmed to participate at PRIDE 33 “The Second Coming”. Those fighters are: Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Takanori Gomi, Ricardo Arona, Aleksander Emelianenko, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Hayato Sakurai, Kazuyuki Fujita and Kazuo Misaki.
