USA vs Asia MMA event set for Atlantic City on Feb. 3
Mixed Martial Arts and Sanda disciplines will be on display during a “USA vs. Asia” show to be presented by World Mac Entertainment in conjunction with Ro-Ro Productions of Houston and held in the Adrian Philllips Ballroom in Atlantic City, N.J., on Feb. 3.
“The popularity of mixed martial arts has grown tremendously,” on today said Edward Hsu, president of GHK Promotions. “The success of the recent championships sparked the demand for more mixed martial arts tournaments in New Jersey.
“I'm very pleased to be part of this growing sport.”
The main event will feature MMA fighters Tank Abbot and Ji Hoon Kim. Also in the lineup are Eric Tavares vs. Okuda Masakatsu; Greg Soto vs. Hyun Kyu Lim; Lee Gibson vs. Jong Man Kim; and two WBF North American light-heavyweight championship bouts featuring Bryan Betell vs. Jon Murphy and Tim Boetch vs. John Doyle.
The sanda discipline fighters include Eric Ruiz vs. He Teng Peter; Peter Kaljevic vs. Dai Shuang Hai; Aaron Miesner vs. Ao Hai Lin; and Mark Beecher vs. Zhang Quan.
The card is subject to change pending NJACB approval. Tickets, now on sale, are priced at $25, $50, $100 and $150. Tickets can be purchased at the box office, all Ticketmaster locations, by calling 800-736-1420 or at ticketmaster.com.
