UFC hosted its first ever event in Croatia on Sunday with a heavyweight headlined card. Junior Dos Santos defeated Ben Rothwell via unanimous decision. JDS’s win ensured that he would not suffer his first losing streak of his MMA career.
Rothwell, on the other hand came into Sunday’s event on a four-fight win streak including wins over Alistair Overeem and Josh Barnett. With the co-main event, Derrick Lewis knocked out Gabriel Gonzaga in the 1st round. Lewis earned himself a “performance of the night” bonus for his impressive win.
